ABOUT ME
I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy with a drive to help people realize their ability to influence their health and wellness through comprehensive, patient first care.
I was raised by a single mother in Littleton Colorado. We didn't have much but she made it a priority to find opportunities for me to gain new experiences, most notably spending time in nature and exploring music. In high school my health took a sideline to playing the saxophone inspiring me to make a change as I entered adulthood. I added too much physical activity before my body developed the load tolerance to handle these stresses requiring me to seek a DPT
I knew becoming a DPT was meant for me after discovering the transformative power physical activity had on my life. More importantly I saw the capacity of prescribed exercise to renew the physical and mental strength of those in my community. This was most impactful interacting with people at the UNC Cancer Rehabilitation Institute, shadowing physical therapists and helping return division one athletes to sport as an athletic training student. These experiences shaped me and showed me that exercise is the one medicine that can benefit everyone.
As a physical therapist, I am committed to empowering people to maximize their potential and achieve their goals through personalized care leading them to an independent path to control their health.
